History

Founded in 2020 amidst Lebanon’s financial collapse, Alyarz Benevolent Association emerged as a beacon of hope for families in the Baabda district. Recognizing the strain on resources and the hardships faced by families in our community, ABA was established to provide support through various educational and community initiatives. Our inception was driven by the urgent need to assist the most vulnerable members of society, particularly children, who are severely affected by the economic downturn, with the lack of affordable education putting their futures at risk.

Empowering Communities Through Your Support

Our Purpose

Stronger together

ABA operates as a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering our community through education, sustainable practices, and collective action. Our primary mission is to foster a sense of togetherness and giving back within our community, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive.
ABA serves as a pillar of education and collective communal prosperity, raising awareness and encouraging active participation in our initiatives.

We understand the importance of integrating benevolence within our community. We believe in the power of giving and the positive impact it has on both the giver and the receiver.

By investing in education, promoting sustainability, and fostering community engagement, we are committed to building a brighter future for everyone. Join us in our mission to empower, educate, and uplift our community. Together, we can create lasting change and a stronger, more connected society.

Our Projects

ABA Educates

We firmly believe that access to education is a fundamental right. Our flagship program, ABA Educates, supports students in need by providing tuition assistance. In the last four years, this program has been a lifeline for families affected by Lebanon’s financial crisis, helping educate their children and secure their future.

Food Security Program

Recognizing the ongoing need for basic necessities, our Food Security Program supports 120 families in the Baabda region. Through donation drives and community efforts, we ensure that families in need have access to essential food supplies.

Our Activities

Abwab Beirut Workshop

Our volunteer program uses art to heal and support our community by creating beautiful iconography, with sales proceeds aiding donation efforts.

The workshop hosts classes and activities, creating handcrafted décor and paintings.

Recycling Initiatives

ABA promotes sustainable practices within the community through recycling initiatives.

We collect recyclable waste and provide resources to educate the community on the importance of environmental sustainability.

Events and Exhibitions

ABA organizes seasonal events and exhibitions to promote small businesses and local artisans.

These events not only foster community spirit but also generate funds to support our educational and community programs.
